Explorers are the oldest youth age range

The Explorers are part of Christchurch Scouting and have 5 units throughout our town. The “Neptune” Unit is the water activity based Unit that is linked to Mudeford Scouts and meets at Mudeford Scout Hut

The  Explorer age range is 14 to 18 years   Christchurch Explorers Page

Neptune will be sailing , kayaking, paddle boarding and other water based activities. They will be achieving RYA awards

We will of course be camping , hiking, learning navigation, map reading and a skills for life

Explorers can also become Young Leaders, who will hopefully become our leaders of tomorrow

There is specific training for this     Young Leader Training

Every 4 years Worldwide Scouting will hold an international Jamboree - Our Explorers will have an opportunity to apply for a place as part of the Dorset Contingent . In recent years this has been to the USA , Thailand, Japan, South Korea and next is Poland.
